Well it's been sometime since I updated you all

As many of you know I have been fighting my hospital

To change to new hospital, well finally I got to see my

New doctor on Thursday,

After 1 hour consultation ( unlike the 5 mins I used to get)

I'm being sent for some emergency scans, he said

That there is a big chance that the CANCER is returning

And that's why ive got so many problems with my leg,

My mobility has decreased, my leg now goes cold

Completely and turns blue/ purple and pain increased.

They are also going to scan my hip and lower back cos

I'm having pain there to. As you can imagine I'm worried

And scared of what the out come will be? Or am I gping

To be left like this for rest of my life.

I asked if he had a plan but he didn't want to go into

Detail till results are in, so now yes it's a waiting

Game and another roller coaster that never ends.

MLS, I have been reading up on your latest posts and my heart goes out to you. You are sure having a tough time of it and going through so much pain from your disease, but also having to deal with a health care system that doesn't always put the patient's needs first. As if you didn't have enough struggles, you needed to use your energy to try and get someone to help you. I hope now that finally, someone appears to be on track with getting things done, that you will get the services you need so that you will have some quality of life. As both Max and Jules have said, come on here as much as you need to, and you can rant and rave all you like; you have earned the right to do that. Let us know how you get along with your new doctor, and the results of your latest scans.

I'm so sorry to hear that. As you well know, the waiting is always tough but I hope the doctor comes up with a treatment plan soon.

Unfortunately after a trip to gp yesterday

I spent the day at the hospital being accessed

As I had heart failure last year due to heart

Condition which I didn't know I had,

When I went gp cos I thought I had high bp

With symptoms I got a shock high it was

And spent 9hours in assessment unit

Untill I ended up leaving as there was no

Rush for them to see me after 9 hours of tests

Seeing just bio ur and waiting 5 hours to see

Consultant that never turned up.

Will see how things go, this CANCER has

Started to take its tole on my body .

What a lot you have been going through.!!!

I am so sorry that not only have you suffered with so much pain and discomfort you have suffered with the negative side of the NHS.

I do hope you get some quality care from these people soon and as you say have a plan in place.

The weather here today is awful (strong wind and rain) but I hope it is better with you and that you are having a lovely weekend with your family.

Hello MLS & all the others in the chat room.

I am new here but I have been reading all of your various posts.

I go to the hospital in the morning at 9.00 to see the consultant for the 1st time.

I am certain he will confirm I have lung cancer as the Macmillan nurse has already phoned me unofficially with the diagnosis.

Thanks for asking MLS, I am well, just awaiting next  Checkup appointment in November.

Then appointments should go 6 monthly if all is ok.

Your little girl sounds just lke mine did at that age. They can be just like a sponge.

Mine could not wait to read and so I taught her at the age of 3 and we called her bookworm.

Still do ands she's nearly 32.!!!! LOL.

Just wanted to wish you all the best for today. I think it's only natural to feel nervous pr apprehensive when going for scans or test for we are never sure of what they may find. I know you may have to wait to get the results and this also is a time where we also feel worried. Hi MLS, thinking of you today as you have that scan you've been waiting for. I hear what you're saying about being nervous; its' not the scan you're scared of, its' what the results might be. I can commisserate with you on that note. I'm waiting for an apt. for a PET scan and I'm not scared of the scan, but like you, I'm scared of the results. As bad as things MAY turn out, dealing with what we know as opposed to what we don't know, at least for me, is better in the long run. When I don't know what's going on, I'm all over the garden path and really scattered; once I know the results, even if they're not good, it is what it is and then I deal with it the best way I know how. At least I can focus at that point.

Having said all of that, I wish for you that the results of your scan turn out to be the best possible for you to have a good outcome. Just know that we're all in this together and supporting one another on this journey that we wish we were not on. Do you know how long you will have to wait for the results of your scan? How did you manage to get an apt. for a scan on a Saturday? That would never happen here. Remember, in as much as we can, we're here for you and wish you best of luck.
