How did you get on with this? I am currently undergoing radiotherapy to remove a myxoid liposarcom from my left thigh, with a view to have the tumour removed by surgery.

I had the myxoid roundcell (majority of it is roundcell) liposarcoma 8.5cm x 4.8cm x 3.8cm grade 2 in my upper thigh removed in 2013 followed by radiationtherapy.

I've has no side effects since then, totally recovered :)

Have just an MRI every 6 months as a check up.

It took me nearly 2 years before I stop obsessing about it and now I just get on with life!!!

Wow thats great news I'm made up for you. I really hope to be in your position in a few years time. mine currently stands at 15cm x 7cm x 9cm so almost twice as big. Radiotheray is going well though and I have a great team at the Royal Liverpool looking after me.

Hi Tom, Katie and London - I know your threads are along time ago and I hope you are all well. I hope you are still wishing to talk about your myxoid liposarcomas as I have one - left thigh 10 x 5.7 x 3.8cm. They want me to have 5 weeks radiotherapy followed by surgery. I am frightened to have radiotherapy. Please can you let me know how your radiotherapy and surgery turned out for you all?

Hi just looking around at various stuff. Me too (high grade thigh) will be starting 5 weeks of radiotherapy in July with an operation following a 5 week skin heal. Any help advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Karl

Hi I’m literally just out of hospital- I live in Dubai and ended up having the radiation there which went very well. I then came back to the UK this Tuesday to have the tumour taken out. All went well so fingers crossed.
