I was diagnosed with Cancer in March and although we knew it was Cancer its still a shock to be told it. I have had 2 chemo cycles now and have my 3rd at the end of the month. I would love to chat about the chemo side affects to anyone..
Julygirl, it is so annoying when they don't have everything ready, hospital visits are stressful and it is very hard not to worry. I understand about having a family that is supportive, but it is so hard on them and we try to protect them, this group is my safety valve, if I want to moan I know everyone will understand and it takes a lot of pressure off my family.
I am struggling with chemo at the moment and get fed up of hearing my own voice haha.
Great to hear your blood levels are down, you are looking at the positives which is always good.
Jackie haven't heard from you, I know the chemo was affecting your time on computer, my thoughts are with you and Eileen and Rose too, stay strong all.
I to am worried about Jackie as she is the strong one of the team, Hope she is ok ...I hope your not feeling to bad after chemo, I am dreading having mine again but it has to be done. I know what you mean about hearing yourself go on about not feeling well, I get on my own nervous but you have to tell someone. I have told David to go to see his friend in Berkshire next weekend as I think he needs a break from me... He is hesitant to go but I am very persuasive. I'm fine so please don't worry! Saw onc today and have had a 'good partial response to chemo'. He was pleased so must be good! Eyes still a major problem, got some 'tear drops' which the pharmasist says may wash them out, it works but only very short term. Onc says could be the tear ducts stenosised (scar tissue blocking outlet) if it don't clear supposed to get back in touch and he'll refer me to eye specialist. Following his discription of the treatment I think I'll keep my gob shut!!!!!!!!!!!!
Welcome Judy, I'm on my second lot of treatment and as you can see am responding well so there's always hope, just hang in there through the waiting game and sound off here
Eileen when's your next lot of treament? I know you hate it but its what you have to do and hopefully it will be the last one.
Dot you should be hitting your 'good' phase now so hopefully are feeling better for a week or so! when do you get results of CT scan? Thought it was this week but feeling somewhat muddle headed :confused:
So sorry to hear about Jayne, how quickly it all progressed for her, I hope you Ben are coping ok as well as the remainder of Jaynes family. She had a very brave attitude which I can only hope to copy.
Glad to here your ok, well sort of but sorry about your eyes......
