Hello
I know how you are feeling, I had 5 moles removed at the end of last year and 3 of them came back as malignant melanomas. When i found out that i had skin cancer i was very upset but to be honest i think i feel worse now and i try to keep happy and say nothing to anyone because i feel like im over reacting but im struggling!
im really scared,my two biggest moles(on my arm and chest)have grown and the edges are ragged, the one on my arm bleeds and itches.Do i hav the big C?can anyone tell me?i dont want to tell anyone incase its nothing, but what if it is?what do i need to do?please help,im only 14.
Dear Ellie33, you musn`t panic but you shouldn`t keep this to yourself. It really might be nothing at all but it is always better to check it out. The earlier Melanoma is caught the better. I had one on my buttock which they took a biopsy of and then had to remove. They now give me check up`s every 6 months, which is very reassuring because I obviously worry about my moles more than I did before:shocked: . Believe me when I say that not knowing is a whole lot worse than actually dealing with the problem. Fingers crossed that it`s nothing at all but do let us know what you decide to do.

thank you.but i dont know if i can tell my mum as im not sure how shell take it as she has had skin cancer before and its possible it could come back.im worried about telling her,it may make it seem more real when i say it outloud.i cant tell my best friend either as she has recently had a mole removed and if i bring it up it might upset her.thank you,i know i need to tell, but i cant find the words.

Dear Ellie33, if you can`t tell your Mum, why don`t you go to a nice Doctor. If it`s nothing at all, you might not even have to tell anybody else. When I first suspected I might have mine, I didn`t tell my mum. My husband knew but I probably wouldn`t have told him if I had`nt been so scared that it was making me grumpy>:) ! . It is much better to know the truth than to spend the whole time worrying. I`m sure if you think hard, there must be somebody you tell, who could keep it a secret and maybe hold your hand when you go along to the doctor. Please keep in touch.
