Skin cancer is cancer at the end of the day and people who haven`t had it had it will probably not understand what you are going through. I had a malignant melanoma back in 2005 on my left buttock. I had it removed with a large bit of buttock and asked if they would mind doing the other side while they were there so as I had a matching pair!! No deal. I was very fortunate in the fact it was my bum and the only person who has to look at it is hubby and it hadn`t spread to the lymph nodes. I also consider the fact that I get checked every 6 months by the hospital to be a good thing as if anything else shows up they can catch it early. A doctor friend tried to put it to perspective for me and told me that as it wasn`t in the lymph glands to think "superficial". The fact that you have had yours on your neck and you see it everytime you look in the mirror is bound to make it harder to deal with but if you can look at it as a reminder that you have beaten cancer, as a sort of war wound and be proud of it ( i know it`s easy for me to say with mine hidden) hopefully this may in time go someway to help you deal with it. It`s really OK to be scared but you have to live too.

iv also got some camoflage cream ( makeup) to try and hide it but i carnt put it on properly lol little more practice and ill get their in the end lol xxxxxxxx

hi ther is very little posts on here about malig mal hard to understad what to think also i just had a weird mole chopped of and im waiting on the biopsy to tell me if i have this really scary problem. im 23 and i have a 6 year old daughter the thoughts that run through my mind every second are drining me crazy sorry to be a downer on al you positive people im just really scared and even though nothing has been confirmed yet i fear the worst becasuse it looks alot like the big c :(. can any1 tell me if they know of a good chat site wher i can speak to ppl 1 on 1 i just really feel like i need a freind who understands i think we should al pull together i know i would luv to help some1 feel better with al these terrible feelings that i feel. i know i dont have my answers yet but i would still lyk the feedback and if i can be ther for some1 in need to i would.
