I was diagnosed two years ago with bile duct cancer, and had surgery and chemotherapy as well as being on a clinical trial for immunotherapy. Since then all the scans have shown no evidence of disease. But I can't trust my body any more: it didn't tell me I was so close to dying (the cancer was found incidentally). I know how lucky I am to be here, but every little ache or pain, rash or bruise, fills me with fear and all the anxiety and terror I felt initially just rushes back. I know that this is irrational but I don't seem able to help it. Does anyone have any ideas that might help me get things in perspective?
