Hello TEC
I'm so very sorry to hear that your friend recently passed away after being diagnosed with a rare cancer. It must have been a very difficult time and it's understandable that you'd now want to try and raise awareness and fundraise in memory of your friend.
Can you let us know a little more about the cancer that they had? That way we can try and share any information that is already available and signpost you towards any specific charities or fundraising groups that already might exist for that type of cancer.
If you'd like to talk supporter services team, they can also give you more information about fundraising for specific types of cancer here at Cancer Research UK.
On behalf of the Cancer Chat team, please accept our condolences on the loss of your friend.
Best wishes,

She had urethral adenocarcinoma. Apparently, it’s extremely rare and aggressive, difficult to diagnose.
Hello TEC
I'm sorry to hear that your friend had urethral adenocarcinoma. As you said, it is a rare type of cancer. Between 1 and 3 out of every 100 people (1 to 3%) diagnosed with bladder cancer have it, and diagnosing this type of cancer can be challenging.
We have some information about bladder cancer research on our website, along with some information about rare cancers. You might also want to have a look at the Action Bladder Cancer UK website.
I do hope that you're able to find a way to remember your friend through raising awareness and fundraising. I've shared the details for our Supporter Services team in my first post above, so do give them a call if you'd like to talk with them.
Sending my best wishes,
Jenn
