Does anyone else have debilitating fatigue caused by treatment and how do you get through the day
Hello DoubleT43
Fatigue is the most common side effect next to skin rash for chemo and immunotherapy. While recovering from surgery also gives fatigue. I think everyone here will get it to some extent. Just dealing with cancer on its own both physically and emotionally takes its toll on energy levels.
Getting fresh air and gentle excecise is important. Good diet fresh fruit vegetables fish meat pulses nuts Regular bedtime and getting up time. Cut alcohol, caffeine, tobacco use. Try to keep your interests hobbies going and keep in touch with friends and family. Although have fatigue all the time some days are better than others. On bad days I just have to give in to it and rest but do try to get oit for a walk. Hope there is something useful for you in this post.
