Hello Laineyed,
Welcome to Cancer Chat, and it's great to hear you're in remission.
It can be tricky to know what could help and I hope members of the forum in a similar situation connect with you. In the meantime, you might like to have a look at this thread where members who have been through treatment for throat cancer share their tips and advice, some of which relates to coping with mucus.
If you haven't already, it might help to discuss this with your doctor in case they have any recommendations. We also have a free and confidential nurse helpline, if you'd like to speak to one of our cancer nurses. You can call 0808 800 4040, and lines are open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
Best wishes,
Moderator Anastasia
