Hi I'm really sorry to hear how this has turned out ,I always thought if you had a clear bowel screening Colonoscopy say ,then it would be fine for at least 10 years ,Ive had 2 Colonoscopies over the last few years which were ok ,maybe if a cancer can grow that quickly we should have more regular screening ,I sincerely hope everything works out well for you ..
not sure l completely understand your angst at the timing between the two different screening results, unless you believe that bowel cancers only move forward in slowtime.My experience was that they can move at a pace that a professional runner could take pride in.
l can completely sympathise with the agony that accompanies a bowel cancer diagnosi, let alone one that is metatastic, having gone through the intracacies of my unwelcome visitor that decided to take an extended vacation to my liver a few months after initial diagnosis in the bowel.
l only asked the Why Me ? question of myself once, because my reply to myself was Why Not. From then on my focus was on ensuring that my visitor was left in no illusion that it had picked the wrong destination to alight upon, and put all my energies, mental and physical on pushing home that point. l am now twelve years on and living a full active life at 75, reclaiming and taking advantage of the years stolen from me during my recovery
Our individual cancers all differ so we can never predict which destination they will take us to, but we can still determine how we will travel to it, Don't waste your energies on what is, use them on focusing on the possibilities of what could be
