I'm sorry to hear that your husband has recently been told that he has non-small cell carcinoma following a fine needle biopsy. I can understand that this must be a really worrying time for you, particularly while he's having to wait for additional tests and results. 

We do know that for many people, this period of waiting can be a really anxious time. We have some tips and advice about how to cope with waiting for news that you may find helpful but I also wanted to let you know that you're most welcome to give our nurses a call. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information and support they can. If you'd like to chat with them, they're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040. 

I also wanted to say that it's important you raise your concerns about the potential delay of starting treatment with the hospital team. Do talk with his Consultant or specialist nurse about your concerns. Hopefully they will be able to offer some reassurance.
