Fenbendazole

Has anyone heard of the  self treatment using Fenbendazole?

It is an anti-parasitic drug used by vets for dogs etc. There have been genuine lab studies using  rats and it has proven to kill./ Halt cancer. However no drug company is going to pay for human trials  so all the other companies can make it without the costs of the trials. Why can't we have the government pay for the trial and save millions of peoples lives and millions of  £ for other treatments and operations.

Does anyone know of anyone who has tried it and will share their results?

I would be willing to trial this drug given it was with legitimate medical supervision.

  • Yes,  I’ve heard of this. No I don’t know anyone who’s tried it. There’s groups on Facebook. I’m sure there’s loads of people who have tried it and shred their experiences on there. I do t think anyone would be brave enough to share their thoughts on here. I’d be willing to trial this drug too under legitimate medical supervision. I often wonder, if the pharmaceutical companies have the capacity to create a Covid jab in record time, without human trials, why do they choose nor to fund trials using these cheap drugs to help save lives due to cancer.

It's  a sad state of affairs when progress is held up by the bean counters. Maybe one of them would be willing to do the trials for the glory and fame. I'm sure the free advertising would pay them dividends in the end. Fingers crossed someone takes it on. I am going to talk to my consultant about it and see if he would be willing to monitor me if I self prescribed the drug..

  • Hi Armand, and welcome to the forum.
As you've mentioned, Fenbendazole have been approved for the treatment of infections in dogs caused by some parasitic worms and lice, as well as skin conditions, but there is currently no scientific evidence or research to suggest that these drugs can be used in humans for cancer treatment or to cure cancer. Many untested drugs or alternative therapies can be very dangerous, and can actually cause more harm. This is because they are unregulated and have not been tested in the same way as conventional cancer treatment.
As SJM08 has mentioned, there have been many discussions about Fenbendazole on Facebook but as you can see here, this information has been fact checked and the articles have been shown to be unsafe and inaccurate. It's important to research and fact check anything you come across online, and I hope these tips we have about using the internet to find information about alternative therapies will help in the future.
We always recommend people talk to their cancer doctor, GP, or specialist nurse first if they are considering using any complementary or alternative therapies as some treatments may interact with current medications, so we're glad you'll be speaking to your oncologist and hope they're able to shed some more light on this.
I hope this information we have about alternative therapies and the safety of alternative therapies will be useful as well, but if you'd like to discuss any of this further with one of our cancer nurses, they're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday (except tomorrow as it's New Year's Day) between 9a.m - 5p.m. They will be more than happy to answer your questions and support you at this time.
    Kind regards,
