  • Hi Mickyboy75,

I think so many people on this forum will totally get what you mean when you say that it's nice to spend time with your family over Christmas but at the same time you are glad it is over. It's totally normal to get mixed feelings about this time of year when you're supposed to be celebrating but sometimes you don't feel like it and it's totally fine to feel this way. It's nice you got another mug (never too many mugs I say!) but it's not easy to see all this food and not being able to eat what you would normally eat. And as you say, there's a lot of terrible programmes on TV and it can be even worse over Christmas so you're right to flick through the streaming channels instead but it can be hard to know what to choose to watch!

I hope you're not feeling too anxious about seeing the consultant the first week of January and that the medical review goes well. It must also be a bit stressful to be told that you should have the right breast removed due to having the cancer gene so it must be a little bit harder for you to totally relax this year during the festive break. Try to enjoy this time with your loved ones as much as possible and you will get to explore all your options in 2026.

Wishing you all the best for 2026, health, happiness and everything you wish for,
