Irony - came for radiotherapy, ended up in casualty. Currently sitting with 2 drips and settling down for a night of observation

Came for my radiotherapy today, ended up in casualty, and then on a ward, radiography went ok, but had an appointment with the out of hours GP,  mentioned I had to go to the Cancer Unit, so they said, come see me in there, now sitting with two drips, settling down for a night of observation,  having the most painful headaches

Dont know if headaches related to the cancer

At least dont need travel here tomorrow eh Can have a lay in

Is it just me these things happen to?    LOL

  • Elizabethr, I'm so sorry to hear what happened. How frustrating that must have been, but I do hope you're feeling better now and are back home in time for Christmas.

Hopefully you will be able to relax and enjoy the festive season but if anything else occurs and you need further medical assistance or advice, don't hesitate to get in touch with your dedicated medical team, out of hours GP or the NHS on 111.

For general queries, our cancer nurses will be available again from Monday 29th December.

Have a wonderful Christmas Elizabethr and make sure you treat yourself to something nice, you deserve it after everything you've been through.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
