First adverse meds reaction

Hi. My name is Jane. I have lung lu ng cancer with secondary spine. 1 radio therapy on spine - pain gone! I'm on tablet chemo can never remember the name. I just went through 50 hours of vom & diarrhoea. I am now absolutely wiped out & I'm wondering how long this stage usually lasts? This is awful ... I can't settle,  I can't sleep properly. I'm exhausted.

    I'm sorry to hear that you've recently had such severe side effects following your first dose of a new medication. Please do make sure you tell the specialist or your cancer nurse about the side effects that you've had to deal with. They will be able to offer medications that might help manage these side effects or it may be that the specialist decides to review your dose.

    If you'd like to talk with one of our nurses for some further advice and support you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information and support they can.
