Hubby is in agony. He thinks it is constipation (a common thing with bowel cancer apparently - which he is currently being investigated for but he is in real pain. At what point do we ring 111?

I'm sorry to hear that your husband has been struggling with pain overnight. If you've not already done so, then please call NHS 111.
Constipation can be extremely painful, but it is important to get this checked and treated sooner rather than later.
Hopefully he can access some support today that will help to ease things.
