Has anyone found any medication that can relieve extreme tiredness and lethargy? I am finding that I am getting so exhausted that it is stopping me living my life. Thank you
Hi I have same problem Immunotherapy has extended my llife expectancy but I get so tired I cannot make the most of those extra days. Eating a well balanced diet, forcing yourself to do some excercise like walking swimming, avoiding too much alcohol or caffeine, regular bedtime and getting up time all seem to help. There is a drug called Modafinal which is prescribed for narcolepsy which can help but you would need to discuss this with a sympathetic GP. I think the non drug route is the best.
I have the same problem after whipple surgery for duodenal cancer in February of this year. It's now been 9 months since the op and I still haven't got any energy. I was warned before my op that I might never fully recover. The op was 9 hrs long. I don't go put at all unless it's to the drs or hospital. I don't do any housework or cooking as I just haven't got it in me. My husband dies it all bless him. All I've been given is fortifying drinks as my weight plummeted to 6 stone 9 pounds. I've not been given any medication at all. I'm now resigned to becoming a recluse! Hope you find something, if you do please let me know. Thankyou
