Taking Enzalutamide & Decapeptyl for metastatic prostate cancer - quite a lot of side effects to contend with but I'm still here 2 - 3 years later.

I've been taking Hormone pills/Injections for just over 2 -3 years. I have metastatic tumours on lymph nodes, lungs, and coupla other places, and a very high PSA.

I now have PSA reading that's less than 0.1 and tumours are too small to measure.

Side effects are hot flushes / erectile dysfunction / incontinence and coupla other things BUT I'm still here and kicking. I take Provera, Tamsulosin, Sage, Sildenafil, and try to eat and exercise healthy.

Frequent checks, scans, blood pressure, PSA etc monitor the situation and hopefully I'll be around long enough to benefit from when immunotherapy is finally approved in the UK

Oncology are absolutely great, and every day I wake up feeling grateful to be alive - AND I bore every bloke in the family or friends about getting PSA tests- if I'd had mine earlier I'd not have had metastatic prostate cancer, maybe a simple prostatectomy instead
