Thanks but not in recovery  just recovering from surgery.

Next step to see surgeon on MondaY to find out if they successfully removed all the microcalification cells.

If so onto radiotherapy in a month, if not more surgery.

Still a long way to go.

Crikey my life was so normal until start of July.

    Thank you

    PDW

    Hi PDW,

Still, that's the first stage over and let's hope that you get good news on Monday.

Isn't it strange how complacent we can become with life? We don't really appreciate what we've got until it's gone. One thing that a cancer diagnosis does is to make us appreciate how precious every single day is.

    Kind regards,

    Hi Jolamine,

You are absolutely right, gratitude goes a long way.

But sometimes I feel useless as I am not allowed do much and signed off work.

I just have to accept the situation and know I am fortunate they caught it early.

    Thank you

    PDW

Ps sorry I never even asked what is your situation?

    Hi PDW,

I am now 16 years since my first diagnosis, when I had a lumpectomy. Six months after that I was diagnosed with pre-cancerous cells in my other breast, then just under a year after my lumpectomy, I found another lump in my original breast. This time it was another cancer and I had  double-mastectomy. Although not as active as I was pre-cancer, I still manage to lead a busy and fulfilling life.

I'm sure that you're not useless. It is difficult to accept that you have to rest when you're used to being at work, but, as you say, we just have to cope with the hand we're dealt.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
