Concerned

I recently had a hip replacement under spinal anaesthetic, The anaesthetist had 4-5 goes before he was ‘successful’   I’ve had  previous spinal decompression and laminectomy. Of which he was aware and was advised to go above the scar tissue .. did he NO !

I’m not sure if the change in bowel movements and back pain are a result of having the spinal, the iron supplements for low Hb, medication cocodamol or something else to be concerned about

I have constant back pain, feel constantly incredibly tired, and feel like I need to poo all the time, really difficult to do. Am I being neurotic?

  • Hi GrumpyGran,

I'm sorry to hear you've been experiencing these difficulties.

It's tough to answer your question and it would be best to talk things through with your doctor, if you haven't already. They will be best placed to advise so do give them a call if the issues continue or you have any concerns.

    Wishing you all the best,
