A warm welcome to Cancer Chat, Health-Blessings.
I’m glad to hear you’re reaching four months of remission from stage IV Hodgkin’s lymphoma, what a tremendous milestone.
I read up on this page from our website on Hodgkin lymphoma and it seems like it’s entirely normal to still feel a bit breathless and fatigued as your body continues to recover.
I really hope you’ll hear from others here who’ve been in the same position and can share their own experiences and encouragement as talking to others who can relate does seem to help.
Our team of nurses is here for you too if you’d like to talk things over with someone with a medical background. They’re available on this number 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
Please feel free to keep us updated or just drop by if you’d like a friendly ear or some support along the way.
All the best,
Renata, Cancer Chat Moderator
Hello just to say that I am in my 6th month of remission from Non-Hodgkins, I like you have many times where I feel totally exhausted, but not done much to feel that way, when I asked my consultant he it is all part of the healing process, our bodies have been subjected to very strange procedures that we have real idea on how we are going to react, also he did throw in the fact that I am 71 and feeling tired etc also happens at my age, so not expecting to run a marathon just yet :) , please be patient with yourself as this will take some time to render itself, I have just started an on-line course, Understanding cancer support, this has kept me occupied and if I feel tired I just switch it off and have a nap, it's surprising how we adjust to these changes, you will come through it but sometimes it takes a while, as for my recovery I now only have to see the consultant ion a 4 monthly basis instead of monthly, so recovery is going forward day by day.
Hope you start to feel more active soon.
Take care Mick.
