Healthy eating after breast cancer

I am on the tail end of active cancer treatment with just letrozole to take for 5 years.

I know there are many healthy eating guides-where do I start?  And what do I do to counteract the letrozole symptoms of joint pain and weigh gain?

should I have more protein, more calcium, take cod fish oil?

can someone give me actual examples-chicken/egg for breakfast or high protein yoghurt?

any tips great fully received

  • It's great to hear you're nearing the end of your active cancer treatment Mummymartin. It must be a wonderful feeling knowing the end is almost in sight.

Hopefully some of our members will share their food tips and suggestions with you soon but I hope this information we have about eating a healthy diet will help in the meantime.

I would also suggest giving our team of cancer nurses a call on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m as with their knowledge and insight they will be able to provide you with other resources and support that can help you get started with your healthy eating plan and address your concerns about joint pain and weight gain whilst taking Letrozole.

If you haven't done so already, you can ask your GP and/or medical team about this as well.

I hope this helps Mummymartin and all goes well for you moving forward.

    Kind regards,
