Looking for advice - enrolled on Radar trial for Multiple Myeloma. Can I transfer my treatment on the trial if I am moving to another part of the country?

Hi everyone,  I am currently enrolled on a Radar trial for multiple myeloma, i have completed my stem cell transplant last November and doing well, I am currently on laladomide tablets and a zometa infusion every 4 weeks. I am looking to relocate to another part of the country and was wondering if it would be possible to transfer my treatment on the Radar trial to a new location,  or do I have to stay where I am until I have completed the trial which I think is another year  to complete the 2 years.

Any advice would be welcome

Thankyou.

  • Welcome to our forum, Mlabz.

It’s great to hear that you’re doing well after your stem cell transplant, and that you’re actively engaged with your treatment.

Relocating during a clinical trial can understandably bring up some questions, and I’m sure others here who have been in similar situations might be able to offer some guidance.

It’s usually important to discuss such a move directly with your trial coordinator or the research team, as they’ll have the most accurate information regarding the transfer of your treatment to a new location. They’ll also be able to advise on any adjustments to your care or trial participation if you do decide to relocate.

Wishing you all the best with your move, and I hope you find the advice you need.

    Best wishes,
