Low grade NHL and finding work. Has anyone else found it difficult?

I've been unemployed for 6 years...had chemo in 2019 and don't seem to be able to find others like me.. my NHL is low grade marginal "wait & see" so this always feels weird.

i can't be operated on but have now yearly blood tests... so far all OK.

anyone else out there on *** Universal Credit feeling like a fraud because they don't know what the hell to do as work seems such a stressful sitatuon and health isn't always great... peri menopause & long Covid as well!!

  • Hi Emmatheartist and welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry to hear you've been unable to work since you were diagnosed with low grade NHL, and for how it has made you feel.

I'm not sure if you have come across this before, but Macmillan have some really useful information about finding a job on their website. I hope you find this useful but if you have any further questions or concerns, it would be best to give them a call. It may be worth getting in touch with Citizen's Advice as well.

I hope it helps to know that a lot of our members are in this position too Emmatheartist, so you are not alone, and I'm sure you will receive some support and advice from them soon.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
