Looking for support for my boyfriend and myself. I've been undergoing treatment for Non Hodgkin Lymphoma

Hey guys!

Currently battling Non Hodgkins Lymphoma and have been undergoing chemo & radio since last year. My boyfriend has been struggling with this whole diagnosis, because comon, none of this is easy - for us, or the people around us.

I was just wondering if anybody knew of anyone/where to look for for him to also get support?

Please do let me know if there's anything available,

Hope todays been kind to you all (:

  • Hi Gibbins120,

I am so sorry to hear you are currently undergoing treatment for Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma and I hope that the treatment is going well. Sometimes a cancer diagnosis can hit our loved ones very deeply and it's nice of you to want to support him. Practical and emotional support are available to help you both cope and our website has information you might be interested in on coping with non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and you will also find a list of resources and support for people with Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma. There might also organisations and support in your local area that you can both access and you can ask your specialist nurse or doctor for more information about cancer services or relevant local groups near you.

Your boyfriend and you might also just feel the need to talk about all this and how it has been affecting you so it might be worth considering counselling. You can read more on our website about how counselling can help and we have a wealth of information on counselling and cancer you might find useful. Don't hesitate to give your GP a call and to ask for advice and suggestions on what might help as I am sure they will be able to point you and your boyfriend in the right direction.

If you would like to talk to one of our cancer nurses about anything, don't hesitate to give them a call on this free number 0808 800 4040 - their helpline is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

I hope this helps a little and that you will hear from other members of our community who have been through something like this before and who may have some additional good tips for you and your boyfriend to help you get through this difficult time.

Best of luck for your treatment and best wishes,
