Hallo there will anyone  else identify please... i am 81 female, the cancer is terminal stage 4. ok so far having been diagnosed last august, received 4 lots of chemo.  Trouble today with the late discovery that it is also in my bones, particularly the right hip.  Had a lot of pain in the last two month with my right leg particularly giving way and now also my left giving issues. The doc. says the cancer in general is stable so why i wonder has it accelerated in the last two months in terms of pain etc.  can anyone help. sincerely dorothy

  • Hello Dorothy,

I am so sorry to hear that your neuro-endocrine cancer is also in your bones and that you have experienced so much pain with it in the last couple of months. I hope that you are well looked after and that they have given you the right kind of pain relief for these bone pains. I am not sure why it has accelerated in the last couple of months in terms of pain but the fact that it has spread to your bones recently may explain why it is hurting more in your bones. I hope that they will be able to treat this pain so you are more comfortable. Feel free to ask your medical team for more information on this - they will have the medical knowledge to explain to you why pain has increased recently and how things may progress.

Our cancer nurses are also only a free phone call away if you would like to talk things through with them. Feel free to ring them on this free number 0808 800 4040 - their helpline is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

I hope that the pain eases soon Dorothy and you will find out soon what treatment options might be available to you to keep this pain under control.

    Best wishes,
