Can an MRI be read incorrectly?

Hi all, just wondering if anyone had any experience with an MRI being misinterpreted. So for example an area of concern is actually fibrosis of the soft tissue?

I'm in limbo at the moment and was told cancer had returned in 2022 then told no cause for concern... now in 2025 I'm being told its back.

Just trying to rationalise things.
