Not been offered pembrolizumab as treatment for nsclc with brain metastasis

Hi

Hope someone can enlighten me, met with oncologist yesterday to discuss treatment plan. After I got home I was looking into the treatment plan I had been offered and seen an article about pembrolizumab and how effective it was. This then made me question why I wasn’t offered it and then I came across this cancer chat group. Hope someone can help and see if anyone else was in same position as myself.

    I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis. It's understandable that you want to make sure that you're on the best treatment pathway for your personal situation. 

    I'm unsure why you weren't offered pembrolizumab. I'd suggest giving your specialist cancer nurse a call and asking them. They will hopefully be able to answer your question and offer some reassurance about things.
