  • Hello Sheila13

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently been told that you have secondary cancer in your lumbar area. It's often difficult for patients when doctors are unable to identify the primary cancer as it can leave a lot of unanswered questions and concerns.

We do have some information about cancer of unknown primary on our website that you may find helpful to read through but you might also want to consider giving our team of nurses a call. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information and support they can as well as helping you think about questions you might want to ask at your next appointment. If you'd like to talk with them they're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

Hopefully when you next see the specialists they will be able to give you some reassurance about the next steps in your treatment and care plan.

Do keep in touch and let us know how you get on Sheila. We're here for you.

    Best wishes,
