This cough must be a bit irritating for you at night - I am not sure whether having a dry chest can be a side effect of the calcium and vitamin D but it would be worth getting in touch with your GP about it and explain that you noticed a difference and that you feel you get a dry chest and cough at night and that your husband noticed you are snoring a bit more. Your doctor will be able to tell you whether these are side effects that can occur as a result of taking calcium or Vitamin D or if there are other reasons for it.
Perhaps there are other members of our community who are getting a dry chest and similar symptoms and they will be able to tell you more about how it may have affected them.
It could be caused by some ingredient other than Vitamin D in the tablets. Your GP would know if this is likely and change the Brand for another with different formulation.
It could also be caused by whatever condition you have.
I daily take high dose vitamin D3 5000UI with no ill effects.
