Hi,I just wanted to share my story and see if anyone has gone through something similar as it is rare I do not know of many people who have gone through it. After my 3 pregnancy loss,I was diagnosed with a molar pregnancy in February 2024. It was all very sudden as I got a call on the evening of 19th Feb saying I needed to goto a special hospital 3 hours away to potentially start chemotherapy. The next morning we drove up and after having tests I was diagnosed with Cancer. I was admitted and started chemotherapy that evening. I started a 1st line chemo but it was working very well and it had become too toxic for my body I became more unwell. So I was switched to a second line chemo. I had to have an emergency PICC line put in due to some chemo leaking out the vein, this I found very traumatic. In total I had 6 months of chemotherapy. On August 22nd,2024,I got to ring the bell. I am now cancer free.
How do you navigate through life after such events?
I lost a pregnancy and was thrown into the deep end of chemotherapy and continuous hospital stays. Now I am home,I am adamant on being a present mummy to my 3 year old despite having the face the side effects of chemo and reality of what's happened this year.
Any advice or just someone's story would be much appreciated.
