Inflammatory breast cancer

I've been fine on my journey so far but yesterday & today the anxiety & stress has been out of this world, waiting for a call from my bc nurse tomorrow

  • Hello Margaretberyl,

I am so sorry to hear about the intense stress and anxiety you have experienced in recent days. Don't feel bad about it though - there will be some days like that and it's great that you have been doing so well on your journey so far. I hope that talking to the breast cancer nurse helped? Did the nurse tell you anything which helped you feel a little better?

I hope that you are feeling ok today. You are not alone here and I hope that other ladies who have had inflammatory breast cancer will come and share their story with you.

    Best wishes,

  • Hi I too have recently been diagnosed with ibc.  Hoping to start chemo either this week or next dependant on when I can have my muga scan (prescribed Phesgo so need to check heart first)  Some days are more overwhelming than others.  I could have cried all day after first appointment with oncologist - there seemed to be a lot of stuff being thrown at me.  Anyway think I may have 6 rounds of chemo (hopefully will get this confirmed on my telephone appointment with oncologist this week then mastectomy 4 to 6 weeks later all being well.  Long and hard journey ahead but I'm sure we can do it.
