It is scary when writing on results, we've all been there. The mind tends to go to the worst case scenario. I also hated the fact that I had no control over it. Or that there wasn't any psychological support.
Have you contacted 'breast cancer now' as they have a buddy system that puts you in touch with another woman who is either going through the same or has went through it. The buddy calls and you can chat. It sounds like it would be of help to you. Also check out the other charities mentioned above.
Although I had family and friends, they didn't understand what I was going through and was helped a lot from people on here. So keep posting and we'll try to help.
Waiting on results is one of the scariest parts of our cancer journey. I hope that you get your results soon and that you get good news about the lymph nodes. As Magpiemaggie, has already said, everything happens so fast and you don't feel in control of what is happening. It does get a little easier, once you have your results and know what your treatment plan is.
