hi quick question… has anyone had on going digestive issues ( namely loose stool in the morning) after finishing chemo . I am having this issue with some stomach pain six weeks after finishing chemo . Thankyou
First of all, well done for finishing your chemotherapy but I am sorry to hear you have been left with these digestive issues six weeks on. You will see in our website page on side effects of chemotherapy that it is mentioned that "some chemotherapy drugs might irritate the lining of your bowel and cause diarrhoea. This usually happens in the first few days after treatment. As it's been ongoing for 6 weeks, I would get in touch with your GP or medical team who is looking after you and they will be able to advise you further and treat these symptoms.
I hope that these digestive issues improve quickly for you and that you will also hear from other members of our forum who have had the same happen to them post chemotherapy.
