Tonsil cancer 2 years on and still facing problems

I was diagnosed with tonsil cancer which had spread to both my lymph nodes in my neck. I had all my teeth removed before starting radiotherapy and chemotherapy which was a huge shock. I was only 50.  I still can not look at myself in the mirror. I am still suffering with mouth problems and have been told I am highly likely to develop osteoronecrosis. When will the pain end?

  • Welcome to the forum Den, although I'm really sorry to hear you are still contending with mouth problems 2 years on from being diagnosed with tonsil cancer.

This must be very upsetting and frustrating to live with, but we are here for you Den and I'm sure some of our members who have been in a similar situation will be along to offer you their support and advice.

I can see you have made a post in our nurses section of the forum as well. They will get back to you as soon as they can but in the meantime, we're thinking of you Den and really do hope things start to improve for you soon.

    Kind regards,
