Myeloma

My husband was diagnosed with the above in the

middle of June, he has gone down hill quite  fast lost three stone in weight and has very shaky hands? not sure if this is because of the cancer, low blood pressure

feeling dizzy when he gets up. He also has two old fractures at the base of his spine, he knew nothing about these, never had back pain like this, we haveny been able to socialise at all

its hard to stay positive.

  • Hi sanne,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to hear of the situation with your husband - this sounds like a lot and I hope you are getting on OK.

Do of course discuss any medical queries or questions with your husband's doctor, particularly if you are experiencing difficulties with the issues you have mentioned here.

We are also here for support on the forum if ever you need it, and I hope that it can be helpful for you. You can browse or search the forum (using the bar at the top of the page) for other relevant discussions and people to connect with. It often helps to write things down and reach out to others.

If you feel you'd like additional support at any point, you can always look at Macmillan and Maggie's, who have various resources, helplines and also local centres.

Take care of yourself and as I say, we are always here on the forum if you need it.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
