Breast Cancer New

Hi

I am new on here. I have just been told I have breast cancer. I have started my chemo. On my second one tomorrow.

it’s a really weird feeling to get your head around this even at 45 years old! But trying to stay strong and positive. Got a long road ahead. Started to lose my hair a bald patch by my ear but im still going to do the cold cap.

I hope anyone going though this remains strong and remember to do as they want and take each day as it comes. You got this xx

  • Hello Cozcroo and welcome to the forum although I'm sorry to hear about the news that has led you here.

It sounds from your post as if you're approaching your diagnosis and treatment with a positive mindset and I know that many other members here will agree that this really can be a great help when you're in the midst of things.

I hope that your second treatment session yesterday went smoothly and that the next few days aren't too difficult for you.

Here at Cancer Research UK we have a team of nurses that you can call to talk with if you feel it would help at any point. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information, and support they can. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

Keep in touch Cozcroo and let us know how you get on. We're here for you.

    Best wishes,

  • Good morning

Sounds like I’m right behind you as waiting on a date for my first chemo. Bit anxious of the unknown. You sound positive so keep going we’re all in this together ️
