Hot flushes

Hi, I am new to this group.  I have had. Radical prostectomy 3yrs ago.  I have experienced erectile dysfunction since then but am a managing same.  What is worrying me now is the onset of hot flushes.  It is scary in that is it a sign that my cancer maybe returning? I have read on the NHS sites that this is usually caused by hormone treatment.  I had such treatment, but only as a stop gap during COVID, while waiting for my surgery.  Would this be the cause of mu hot flushes or is there something more sinister at play

  • Hi B-tom,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. It's difficult to advise on this, and really it would be your doctor who is best placed to do so. If you haven't already, try to give them a call.

You are also welcome to speak to one of our nurses. If you'd like to do this, you can reach them on freephone 0808 800 4040 - Monday-Friday, 9-5.

Otherwise, if others here have similar experience to share then hopefully you'll get some more replies soon.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
