New lump

I have stage 3 cancer in my right breast .  . Today I found a lump in my left . Is it common for this to happen ? Petrified now . I also have a melanoma so as you can imagine my stress is awful . Have phoned the doctor so waiting for a call back . Can both breasts have cancer ?

    A very warm welcome to our forum. Unfortunately, it is common to have cancer in either or both breasts. However not all breast lumps turn out to be cancerous. Many are diagnosed as benign Fibroadenoma or Cysts.
