Hello Bev07
I'm sorry to hear that you've recently been through surgery. It's good to hear that you're feeling much stronger.
Six weeks is still very early days in recovering from what is a significant surgery so don't be too anxious about the discomfort that you're feeling. Do you have an appointment booked with the hospital team soon? Or a clinical nurse specialist that you can call for some advice and reassurance? Do get in touch with your team if you're worried.
If you'd like to talk things through with one of our nurses you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice and support they can.
I hope that the rest of your treatment and recovery goes smoothly Bev.
Best wishes,
Jenn

Thank you for your reply….. I have specialist nurses who I can ring. But feel sometimes like I’m worrying for no reason

Hi Bev,
I found your post whilst searching for liver resection.
I was wondering on how your recovery is going now? I am due to have a resection on Tuesday, I know the usual stuff like I wont be able to drive, lift anything etc. I was wondering if there was anything that you wished you had known about beforehand? Just trying to prepare (it is likely to be open surgery not keyhole I think).
Best wishes and I hope that you continue to recover well.
Annie
