I was dx with g4ade 1 ductal carcinoma in Jan 2008 (16 1/2 years ago). I was 40. 

 Surgery (WLE) and rads followed by 10 years of tamoxifen.  Had recon - including implants 10 years ago. 

Had a check up for implants and they ordered an ultrasound and during that they found a lump.  Had a biopsy - I was sure it would be fatty tissue (Had that previously), however biopsy results confirmed 17mm grade 2 breast tumour.  

I'm getting a CT scan on Friday (19/7) and go back to the breast clinic on 08/08.

Thanks for getting back to me. I think you're right timescales do seem to vary depending on where you live. Everyone says if it was bad news they have got back to you quickly I'm not sure it's always the case..
