Nodule on mri after cancer last year

Hi some of you may remember me I had grade 3 er+ pr+ cancer last year. I’m 38 now and had an mri of my breasts and chest wall recently where they have found a lump which needs further investigation. I’m due an urgent ultrasound and tests to see what’s going on but someone from the breast care team will call me today. I never had chemo just a lumpectomy and intensive radio and now on hormone treatment

has anyone had a nodule that turned out to be fine or a local recurrence? I do remember a lady that had a local recurrence and is doing well now so hi if your in here.

im not massively panicking as I’ve been there got the t shirt and on anti anxiety and anti depressants

  • My wife has had two lumps found since she stopped treatment 2 years ago. One turned out to be scar tissue, the other an oil cyst caused by the radiotherapy. Her cancer was in the left breast, and in her nodes. Some calcification was found in her right breast last year, they operated to remove it, and that too came back fine.

No doubt about it, cancer simply doesn't go away after treatment, it remains with you for life and its entire aura hangs around you like a bad smell. There's always something waiting to appear to throw you off now and then. But luckily, not everything means the cancer has returned.

  • Yes it does seem to be never ending doesn’t it. Fingers crossed for something benign here. I’m glad your wife is doing ok even with the stress of lumps being found
