A big shout out

I would like to give you all a big salute to all who have been managing the battle against pain.

Since December last year , thyroid removed / right lymph node removed / cancer spread to the bone in shoulder /one rib and base of spine.

The one in the right shoulder has knackered me  ,being right handed as well made the right arm 90% useless.

My pain levels seem to range from ,'my god' to a mild headache from the time I am awake to the time I go to sleep.

If anyone has any natural remedies for pain relief ,I would be interested to know.

I'm told this is all treatable so should get a few more years hopefully.

  • I'm really sorry to hear about the pain you've been experiencing Marty66. It must be very difficult when the pain is at it's highest.

We do have some information on our website about treating cancer pain, including things you can do to reduce the pain, but if you'd like to discuss this further with one of our cancer nurses, they're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

Hopefully you will hear back from some of our members soon as well, but in the meantime, we're thinking of you Marty and hope this becomes more manageable for you soon.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
