i am on a 2 year treatment course with this , for stage 3 melanoma , I’ve had 3 sessions so far 1st session no problems in and out in 40minutes , second session not so good had a reaction , which I was assured is quite common , it was handled brilliantly , and treatment continued , but this session lasted a good 4hrs , just before my last session I received a call to tell me that the last blood test showed very low cortisol and I needed more tests , outcome steroids and adrenal appointment, (bloods taken 5 days before every infusion )
I am very worried about the side effects of the treatment , a case of sounding like the cure is worse than the illness but in a no win position , so have put my faith and trust in the team

I have just had my 4th infusion and am experiencing severe muscle pain in hands, arms and neck. After my first infusion I had a very itchy rash which was eased with antihistamines and a hydrocortisone cream. When my muscle cramps started I was told it was OK to take paracetamol and ibuprofen, neither had much effect and the night time discomfort continues. I will hang on in there and persevere as I don't feel I have an option. I have already had lung and liver resections and currently have a liver tumour which returned soon after my surgery. Stay positive and carry on. Only way to go no matter how painful.
