Any personal advice/tips for living with 18 weeks of adjuvant chemotherapy please?

Hi, Any personal advice/tips for living with adjuvant chemotherapy please? Any little tips that no one tells you about to make life easier at home? For example I didn't know that toilet cleaning is a big must and flush twice with lid down so I am in the process of organising my bathroom.

Thanks J

  • Hello Topazeyes78,

Sometimes you're right it's those personal little tips you don't read about in the text books but which have been tried and tested by others that can make a big difference. And this is precisely what this forum is for, to be able to exchange tips and give personal advice to help you get through these 18 weeks of adjuvant chemotherapy.

Organising your bathroom sounds like a great idea and I hope that you will get other tips from members of our community who have had adjuvant chemotherapy before. What works for others may obviously not work for you but it's always interesting to hear from the approaches of others who have been through this before.

I hope that you are coping well with it all and if you have any questions about your treatment or anything that springs to your mind, feel free to get in touch with our cancer nurses on this free number 0808 800 4040 - their line is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

Best of luck with your treatment - I hope it all goes well for you!
