Waiting! A rant.

Has anyone else found the most annoying thing anyone can say to you when you are waiting is 'no news is good news'?

Yes that is kind of true, but you're not the person who can't get it out of your head, has nightmares every time they sleep and doesn't know if the cancer has spread, has been successfully removed, gone into the lymph nodes and isn't worrying about every bleeding little thing.

Sorry, needed a rant and I feel so bad for my poor husband who just wants to fix things and can't. There isn't an answer to this. Is there?

  • I suppose this is the place to rant, hope you get some positive answers very soon. The waiting is so hard for us, and our family and loved ones. Good luck, and for better news

  • I'm new to this forum but have to agree, 4 months on from diagnosis, I had my first major meltdown when, expecting the results of a PET scan (following a CT, both within a week) I was phoned to say they didn't have the result. When they did get the result, was told they couldn't be sure as it could just be post op changes, which was positive!

Another 3 month wait, for a further scan - waiting for appointments & results are by far the worst things to cope with.
