I had it before my lumpectomy a few weeks back and can honestly say I didn't even feel the needle going in. No side effects or anything. Hope yours is the same xx

Same here - didn't feel a thing really with the needle. Biopsies are worse than that. I hope your op went well. I had lumpectomy/reconstruction early April 24 and now due to start adjuvant chemo soon. I'll be doing radiotherapy after as well. 

The sentinel node injection wasn’t too painful. Had my mastectomy and reconstruction on Wednesday and came home yesterday. Feeling quite rough today and had problem with surgical drain after emptying this morning. Couldn’t get the vacuum seal. Had to go back to breast clinic to have it changed! Will find out 8 July when I see consultant if need to have chemo. Good luck with your treatment x

Is it the PICO dressings your talking about? I had them with the attachment things that buzz. If air gets in it just keeps buzzing lol. I had same problem and had to make multiple journeys. 8th July - is that when you'll get an oncotype score back?

Hi no it’s the J-Vac drain that you have to empty every day. You have to then press it to create the vacuum and it’s not at all easy. Hopefully now it’s been changed I will be able to do it tomorrow Yes waiting for the Oncotype score on 8 July. The tissue sample goes to California can you believe it? Wish I was going with it

It’s very strange isn’t it? Consultant said he will hear in 2 weeks but I will find out on 8 July. In quite a lot of discomfort at the moment from both sites, lymph node site really sore and pain at reconstruction site. Have surgical drain removed on Friday, can’t wait
