Financial Struggles

hey guys

im 19 and was diagnosed with cancer at 19 last year in september.

because of this, me and my family have been going through financial struggles.

we have taken the macmillan grant to help us and i applied for credit and maybe ill apply for pip.

is there anything else that might provide me with some money to help with my finances as next year i am returning to uni and i do want financial help to aid with my housing rent.

    I'm sorry to hear about your recent cancer diagnosis and the impact that it has had on you and your family. It sounds like it's been a difficult time but it's good to hear that you're feeling well enough to consider returning to university next year. 

    You mention that you've already been in touch with Macmillan. They do have a benefits and financial advice team that you can contact regarding your query. It's also worth getting in touch with the University to see what advice they can give you regarding your return to study and what options may be available to you. 

    I hope that you're able to put the necessary support in place to help you continue with your University course next year.

    Have you applied for student finance as that would cover your housing, bills and food costs. Contact your uni support help desk who can guide through the support you need.
