I'm sorry to hear that your partner has been undergoing tests for possible prostate cancer. It's understandably a worrying time for you both particularly as he's not been given any clear information at this point. 

Whilst it's good to know an appointment with the nurse specialist has been made, it's not possible to say with absolute certainty why the bone scan has been requested nor what the hospital team is anticipating the diagnosis may be. 

Was your husband given contact details for the nurse specialist? There's certainly no harm in ringing them before the appointment and asking questions regarding the bone scan.

Whatever the diagnosis, hopefully the team will be able to give you some reassurance about things.

Thank you for replying no he has been given no information at all bone scan is Tues and to see urology nurse the following week it is the not knowing esp with being called for a bone scan
