I had 25 sessions of pelvic radiotherapy for a gynaecological cancer. I was fine for the first couple of weeks then I started with diarrhoea. I also had quite an irritated bladder so I was running to the toilet a lot but that was likely compounded by the amount of water I had to drink before each treatment. Towards the end my skin got quite burnt (red and sore) but luckily (I suppose) I couldn't feel it too much due to nerve damage from surgery I had in the area. I also had some fatigue but I was also having chemo so I wasn't sleeping particularly well.
I was really really well looked after by the radiotherapy team. They supplied medication to help with side effects and the cream to help my skin towards the end.
